Innovations for Development, Empowerment, and Advancement Strategies (IDEAS) Limited is a women-founded and led private consulting firm incorporated in Uganda on September 12, 2012. With a vision of ‘Empowered individuals and organizations transforming their communities,’ IDEAS is founded on the premise of developing regional expertise and entrepreneurs by a multi-skilled, and vastly experienced and dedicated team of full-time and associate experts. IDEAS delivers quality products and services to our broad client base consisting of central and local governments, international organizations, civil society organizations, funding agencies otherwise called development partners, and the private sector. IDEAS comprises the top leadership team of the Executive Director and the Deputy Executive Director, supported by the Head of Programme Management & M&E, Head of Research Development & Evaluations, and the Finance & Administration Manager.

IDEAS is made up of a pool of over 15 seasoned senior Program Development, Programme Management, Capacity Building, Research, Evaluation and Analytics experts comprised of all levels of qualification across doctorate of philosophy and postgraduate levels across areas of demography, statistics, public health, human medicine, public administration and social sciences, nutrition, reproductive health, gender, Monitoring & Evaluation as well as capacity building. IDEAS also has an active database of 45 researchers across all the ten (10) classified regions of Uganda who have a degree qualification and above, with majority trained in ethical conduct of research coupled with at least 5 years of Experience in research and supporting periodic field data collection for numerous partners. These have been carefully selected to suit different programme thematic areas, regions and appropriate languages used in Uganda. With this multidisciplinary team, IDEAS has and continues to make a fundamental contribution through supporting partners towards building new grants/business development, performance evaluation, ensuring data quality and continuous improvements, development of management information systems, capacity assessment and development for better delivery governance and improved evidence-based programming in the region.

During the recent years, IDEAS and team have designed and led impactful programme development, performance evaluation monitoring and Evaluation and research technical assistance across numerous partners as summarized below across; Agha Khan Foundation, Triggerise Uganda/Kenya, United Nation’s Population Fund (UNFPA – Uganda), United States Agency for International Development (USAID/Uganda) working with Panagora, Food for the Hungry, Chemonics International, Uganda AIDS Commission, Uganda Youth Network, Uganda Red Cross Society, SOS Uganda and Rwanda, Hub for Investigative Media, Restless Development and Malaria Consortium among others.
