Ms. Sheila Marunga Coutinho
Executive Director
Ms. Sheila Marunga Coutinho is a public health and child protection specialist. Sheila has worked with a range of public, private, the UN, bilateral donors, indigenous, and international civil society organizations in Eastern, Central, and Southern Africa.
She holds three Masters Degrees in curriculum design and teaching from Makerere University; primary health care and promotion from Manchester University; and business leadership and administration from the University of South Africa.
Sheila has a wealth of experience in HIV/AIDS; child/social protection programming; civil society engagement and development; education; sexual and reproductive health; youth development and empowerment; food security; behavior and social change communication; gender programming and training; technical and organizational development for public and private sectors; advocacy, networking, and collaboration. She has also been instrumental in HIV/AIDS poverty and Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) related analysis, lobbying, and policy development in Uganda and the region.
Jonathan Magoola
Country Manager
Jonathan is a seasoned demographer and public health evaluation professional with 17 years of experience in leading Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation efforts for different Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRH&R), HIV&AIDS, Orphans and other Vulnerable Children (OVC), Livelihoods and Research programs supported by a multiplicity of development agencies including UN Agencies, PEPFAR, World Bank, UKAID/DFID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the International Initiative for Impact Evaluations (3ie), Democratic Governance Facility, OAK and Hewlett Foundations as well as Ministry of Health of Uganda.
Over the last couple of years, Jonathan has led teams of data analysts and evaluators in designing developing hypotheses for testing, analytical frameworks, data management plans, and program evaluations that have made a significant impact on Uganda’s policy and the knowledge bank for numerous donors. At the heart of this experience has been Jonathan’s exclusive expertise and knowledge transfer abilities to numerous teams in using Excel, SPSS, STATA, and Tableau for advanced analysis to improve evidence-based programming and policy formulation. Jonathan holds a Master of Science degree in population and reproductive health of Makerere University and a post-graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation of Uganda Management Institute.
Most recently, Jonathan worked with Malaria Consortium South Sudan as Country Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator for the country programme in addition to USAID Uganda.
Jonathan was an Associate lecturer for the Monitoring & Evaluation postgraduate diploma programme of Uganda Management Institute in Kampala-Uganda.
Franklin Namanya
Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning Coordinator
Namanya is a multi-skilled program management and research analyst with over 8 years of professional experience leading Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation activities for WASH, Livelihoods, Early Child Development, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, HIV&AIDS, Orphans and other Vulnerable Children (OVC) as well as Gender programs with support from the Mastercard Foundation, UKAID/DFID, PEPFAR, World Bank, International Initiative for Impact Evaluations (3ie), OAK and Hewlett Foundations as well as Ministry of Health of Uganda and UN Agencies.
Over the last couple of years, Namanya has led teams of Researchers, data analysts and evaluators in design developing tools, analytical frameworks, data management plans and program evaluations that shape Uganda’s policy landscape and the body of evidence. At the core of her expertise has been exclusive proficiency and knowledge transfer capacities to numerous teams in using Excel, SPSS, STATA to generate forward-thinking analyses upon which evidence-based programming and policy formulation builds.
Namanya holds a Master of Science degree in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Uganda Management and a post-graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation of Uganda Management Institute.
